I have owned and operated A Better Home Inspection since 1999. My building career started after a four-year degree in residential buildings. Since that time, I have worked on many projects getting valuable hands-on experience. After I went through school with Georgia Association of Home Inspectors I became a Certified Residential Building Inspector through International Code Council. After that, I joined the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors 25 years ago.
Yearly continuing education hours through Metro Atlanta Home Inspectors Association and International Code Counsel and National Association of Certified Home Inspectors and others have kept me updated on new codes and standards required for new home construction today. Many codes have changed or been added to the Residential Building Code as new devices or safety features have added to the codes thought the years. Along with thorough knowledge of the building codes and defective materials or installations seen throughout the years.
When I realized in meetings how radon can affect a person, radon testing was added as a choice to the home inspections. I do take my job seriously and thoroughly look at the condition of the home and put it in the report that is easy to understand. In this way you can make a more informed decision on the purchase of a new home and the current condition. I will provide you with a comprehensive inspection report that is a fair and objective evaluation of the property so that you can understand the condition of the home and consider possible repairs and or corrections. This will give you the experience confidence and peace of mind about your investments and any negotiations you may make.
